100 Years of Tokyo Transportation

In lieu of the centenary of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Transportation, there will be a special exhibit at the Edo-Tokyo Museum until September this year. The main title of the exhibit is “100 Years of Tokyo Transportation”.

The exhibit will bring back the years on how Tokyo’s transportation has evolved. The event will also feature archives, miniature cars and past transportation models including posters that are relevant to the celebration.

The main feature of the exhibit is to encourage excited visitors in viewing the different aspects in Tokyo’s transportation from 1911 to present. This will also bring out positive reaction to visitors since the exhibit will also showcase how transportation has developed in Japan, the smiling faces of the workers and the efficiency of public transportation.

The exhibit will surely be enjoyed by adults, transportation historians as well as kids alike. Included in the celebration is a 2 life sized train in the exhibition area. The best thing visitors can get during the exhibition is they can acquire souvenirs related to Tokyo’s transportation at the gift shop at an affordable price.
